Highway Assistant.

The available Highway & Commuting Assistant enables attentive hands-free driving at speeds up to 85 mph where conditions and speed limits allow. This partially automated driving function also includes Active Lane Change, when the driver can confirm suggested lane changes simply by looking in the corresponding exterior side mirror.

Driving Assistant Plus.

This system makes steering and braking easier for you. The Driving Assistant Plus can detect and automatically adapt to speed limits and even adapts the speed as needed when approaching corners, roundabouts, and junctions. If you wish, it can control your speed and distance from the vehicle in front and help keep your BMW in your lane.

Parking Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Professional.

Park easily in even the tightest parking spaces with 360° view. The Parking Assistant Plus offers expanded parking views to keep an eye on all sides of the vehicle and your surroundings. Repeated parking maneuvers can be saved and performed semi-automatically at any time. You can even do this remotely from your smartphone using the additionally available Parking Assistant Professional via the My BMW App.

Aware from every angle.

Blind spots are minimized as the cameras and sensors of the BMW iX5 capture a 360° view of your surroundings. You can keep an eye on traffic ahead of, alongside, and behind your vehicle, helping you travel with greater confidence. Available all-in-one BMW Digital Premium also gives you the new Security Assistant.

If your BMW detects a collision, four cameras automatically record what is happening.⁷

You'll receive push notifications via the My BMW App and a video as soon as your BMW detects a parking collision.

If your BMW records an accident, footage from four cameras is automatically saved. If necessary, you can manually activate the Drive Recorder.

At your request, your BMW captures memorable routes and landscapes in a video and saves it directly on your smartphone.

In the My BMW App, you can see the surroundings of your BMW in 3D and check that all is well.

With Remote Inside View, you can access a picture or short video of your BMW's interior and then view it in the My BMW App.

If the anti-theft alarm system is triggered, the exterior and interior cameras of your BMW record videos, and the My BMW App will inform you via push notification.
