The first-ever iX3 50 xDrive is coming summer of 2026, with an MSRP starting under $60,000, and an estimated range of up to 400 miles. The iX3 40 sDrive and iX3 40 xDrive will be available in early 2027, with an MSRP starting under $55,000 and estimated ranges slightly over 300 miles. Featuring the BMW Heart of Joy, an innovative central control unit for Neue Klasse vehicles, the 2027 BMW iX3 integrates drivetrain, braking, and recuperation into one single system. Paired with BMW’s Dynamic Performance Control system, this makes for the most responsive, efficient, and precise BMW driving experience yet. The purely modern iX3 experience continues with new BMW Panoramic Vision, which projects key content directly on the lower section of the windshield.

The Neue Klasse 2027 BMW iX3 50 xDrive—which arrives in summer 2026—has an electric range of up to 400 miles. The iX3 40 sDrive and iX3 40 xDrive arrive in early 2027 and have ranges slightly over 300 miles.

The 2027 BMW iX3 50 xDrive features an 800-volt battery and up to 400 kW DC charging, adding up to 230 miles in just 10 minutes.

Through the BMW ChargingNetwork, you'll have access to an ever-growing nationwide network of public charging points, including DC Fast Charging stations from top providers. Thanks to the NACS charge port of the BMW iX3, you will also be able to use the Tesla Supercharger network which becomes part of the BMW ChargingNetwork at the end of 2025. Adapters for charging at a CCS charger will be available. You can charge the BMW iX3 at home or at a public charger. The BMW iX3 comes with the Multifunctional Charger which plugs into a standard 120V household outlet or a 240V outlet. The optional BMW Wallbox can be installed at your home for 240V hardwired charging.

 

When it comes to public charging, the BMW ChargingNetwork makes things easy and seamless. The nation's top charging providers are seamlessly integrated in the vehicle navigation and the My BMW App and automatically included in your route planning should a charge stop be required. The iX3 driving dynamics are smooth and quiet with instant EV torque, while the X3 has a traditional engine sound and feel. The iX3 vehicle is a zero-emission vehicle, while the X3 is available as a gasoline or plug-in hybrid vehicle.

The 2027 BMW iX3 50 xDrive has standard dual-motor all-wheel drive. It features 400 kW ultra-fast charging capability, a range of up to 400 miles, and a new minimalist interior with BMW Panoramic Vision display. It also features bi-directional charging, heated seats, and comfort access with BMW Digital Key Plus.

The 2027 BMW iX3 comes standard with the Driving Assistant Plus package, which features Distance Control with Steering Assistant. This feature supports steering and braking by permanently maintaining desired speed and distance from the vehicle in front, and braking your BMW if needed. It also keeps your BMW in the middle of the lane throughout these active steering interventions. Available assistance features include Parking Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Professional.
