Highway Assistant.

The Highway Assistant enables attentive hands-free driving at speeds up to 85 mph where conditions and speed limits allow. This partially automated driving function also includes Active Lane Change, when the driver can confirm suggested lane changes simply by looking in the corresponding exterior side mirror.

Driver assistance features are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. Always pay attention to traffic, surroundings, and road conditions while using Highway Assistant. Weather, traffic, road conditions, cellular service and map data may affect performance of driver assistance features. The Highway Assistant is not available in Alaska, Puerto Rico or Hawaii. Please refer to your owner’s manual or your BMW Center for more information.

Driving Assistant Plus.

The standard Driving Assistant Plus package provides support for steering and braking. The Distance Control feature permanently maintains desired speed and distance from the vehicle in front, and brakes your BMW if needed. Steering Assistant also keeps your BMW in the middle of the lane.

Parking Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Professional.

Park effortlessly with the available Parking Assistant Plus, which provides enhanced parking views. You can also save repeated maneuvers, such as parking in your home driveway, and execute them automatically at any time. Parking Assistant Professional integrates with the My BMW App, letting you perform these actions remotely from your smartphone while outside the vehicle.

BMW Symbiotic Drive: seamless support comes standard.

BMW Symbiotic Drive is a new level of driver assistance. AI-supported software uses cutting-edge sensors, software, and processors to integrate with the driver’s commands, supporting features like cooperative steering and braking, and much more.

The collision avoidance and emergencies features include features like Forward Collision Mitigation, Evasion Assistant and Active Park Distance Control with Side Protection.

Lane tracking and lane changing features include Steering Assistant, Active Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Keeping Assistant.

Distance Control lets you set your desired cruising speed and following distance from the vehicle ahead.

Parking Assistance includes, among other features, Automated Park Assistant, Parking View with 3D View and Panorama View, Park Distance Control, and Back Up Assistant.
