ENGINEERING

BUILT FOR CONTROL

Every race is a delicate balance between power and finesse, aggression and control. The BMW M4 GT3 enters the lineup with a lighter engine, an efficient drivetrain, and enhanced systems to put the driver in total control through every curve and straightaway.

FEEL THE POWER

Reworked engine.

The P58 M TwinPower Turbo engine is the most advanced BMW M inline six-cylinder engine to date, delivering up to 590 horsepower while shaving 80 pounds from the previous V8.

Refined transmission.

The Xtrac transaxle unit, a straight-toothed 6-speed sequential gearbox, traces its origins to the BMW M8 GTE. This newly refined version increases runtime and cost efficiency along with vehicle performance.

Efficient clutch.

An electro-hydraulic clutch, operated by a paddle on the steering wheel, supports partially automated starts and includes a stall prevention function.

Assistance systems.

The unique needs of Motorsport driving influenced the design of the M4 GT3 traction and braking systems, which are now adjustable with controls integrated into the steering wheel.

RACE-READY INTERIOR

BMW M Track Cockpit.

Configure essential functions without laptops or special software. Boost maps, series-specific functions, adjustments to pit speed, fuel selection, sensor calibration, and more can be done directly from the driver's seat.

Steering wheel.

Developed and produced in partnership with FANATEC, the M4 GT3's steering wheel is ergonomically optimized with vital controls including traction control, radio, and more. It can also be used in simulators without modifications – the first wheel of its kind in the world.

Driver position.

Exit and enter comfortably with the large door opening on the BMW M4 GT3. Once in the fixed seat, the pedal box and steering column can be adjusted with the pull of a lever.

Climate control.

Improved cockpit air circulation significantly increases efficiency and driver comfort. The air conditioning system in the M4 GT3 is easy to maintain and is twice as powerful as the system found in the M6 GT3.

Built-in fire extinguishing equipment, a vital part of BMW's commitment to driver safety, is included with every new BMW M4 GT3.

ATL Safety Fuel Cell

This vital safeguard helps protect your fuel supply in the event of an accident, reducing the risk of damaging or dangerous fires.

Roll Cage

The chassis includes an FIA-compliant welded safety roll cage manufactured by BMW M Motorsport.

Does BMW offer any driving programs for the M4 GT3?

There aren’t any driving programs for the BMW M4 GT3 at this time, however the BMW Performance Center West offers programs with the BMW M4 GT4. Build confidence behind the wheel at the M4 GT4 Experience, or perfect your technique with private coaching sessions from professional instructors and engineers. You can also obtain your SCCA racing license through the BMW Performance Center.
