For the utimate in comfort, BMW offers the optional Active Ventilated Seat Package.

Front ventilated seats

The internal sections of the seats contain multiple fans that provides forced ventilation through a permeable, "sandwich" seat layer. In cooler weather, temperature-adjustable air flows through the seat and seatback, providing warmth. In warmer weather, air circulates through the seat, dissipating perspiration.

Active seat for driver

Helps decrease stiffness or fatigue on long trips. When activated, the driver's seat surface is continuously and imperceptibly raised and lowered from side to side, keeping your spine in motion and exercising various support muscles.

Cold Weather Package

Ski bag

Allows clean and secure transport of up to four pairs of skis and ski poles. When not extended for use, the ski bag is stored out of sight behind the center armrest.

Heated Steering Wheel

Heated steering wheel makes gloves unnecessary for cold weather driving. A flick of the switch quickly warms the steering wheel to the perfect temperature.

Heated rear seats

A welcome cool-weather feature for left and right rear-seat occupants. With the touch of a button, passengers can individually select their preferred level of warmth.

Innovative driver-assistant technologies designed to help you avoid hazardous situations.

Head-up Display

Projects important travel information, such as current speed, on the windshield directly in the driver's line of vision. Directional arrows from the Navigation system, Check Control data, and cruise control functions can also be displayed.

Rear View Camera with Top View

Rear-view camera is activated automatically by shifting into reverse gear, or manually by pressing the parking-assist button. The color display shows a real camera image that may include "static" and "track" lines to help you when backing up or parallel parking. The camera also has zoom functions, and a "docking line" that helps guide your approach to the towing hitch of a trailer.

Automatic high beams

Automatic high beams let you enjoy the convenience of switching between high and low beams automatically. When the system is activated, an image sensor at the back of the rear-view mirror monitors oncoming traffic and lighting conditions. Based on this data, the system decides whether or not the high beams should be switched on. When it detects vehicles ahead, or the sensor indicates that ambient light is sufficient, the high beams are automatically stitched off.

Rear manual side window shades

Manual roller sunblind for rear side windows help keep the sun's heat and glare out of the passenger compartment while providing privacy for rear-seat passengers. The blinds also create a comfortable environment for sleeping infants and children.

Driving over rough or damaged road surfaces, as well as debris, curbs and other obstacles can cause serious damage to wheels, tires and suspension parts. This is more likely to occur with low-profile tires, which provide less cushioning between the wheel and the road. Be careful to avoid road hazards and reduce your speed, especially if your vehicle is equipped with low-profile tires. Run-flat tires do not come equipped with a spare tire and wheel.

Comfort Access keyless entry

Comfort Access system offers an even greater degree of convenience: keyless access to your car. Simply carrying the remote key in a pocket allows you to unlock the doors by touching the door handle. You can also turn the engine on or off by pressing the Start/Stop button without first inserting the remote key.

Foot must be on brake or, with manual transmission, must also depress the clutch in order to start.

Soft-close automatic doors

The soft-close feature uses small electric motors to gently close all four doors and the trunk lid. Simply close the door or trunk lid gently and the electric mechanism then draws it fully in.
