The BMW Championship carries on a rich tradition that began in 1899 with the Western Golf Association's first championship. The BMW Championship, the third in a series of four PGA TOUR Playoff tournaments designed to determine the FedExCup Champion. As the centerpiece of BMW's continued partnership with the PGA TOUR and the WGA, we are proud to include this tournament to the long list of golf events bearing our name around the world.
In 2012 the BMW Championship moves to Crooked Stick Golf Club just north of Indianapolis, where the top golfers in the world including Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia, and more compete for what promises to be one of the most exciting golf events of the year.

Evans Scholars Foundation
We're also proud to be carrying on the fine tradition of the Western Golf Association by supporting the Evans Scholars Foundation, with 100% of the proceeds from the tournament going directly to fund college scholarships for qualified caddies. The Evans Scholars Foundation was established in 1930 and has provided college educations to more than 10,200 caddies by making tuition scholarship payments totaling more than $130 million. Currently, over 825 caddies are benefiting from Evans Scholarships, and BMW is proud to play a role in the program's success. All proceeds from the BMW Championship benefit the Foundation. Additionally, should a player hit a hole in one during regular tournament play during the BMW Championship, BMW will send an Evans Scholar to college for four years.
