Motorcycle Rider Training

As long as you know HOW to ride a motorcycle we can accommodate you. We do not teach people how to ride.
Riders are put into groups based initially on a self assessment of riding ability. After the first couple of riding exercises an instructor may decide to restructure the groups. Our riding groups are as follows:

On-Road: Beginner - Have been riding for a short time and feel comfortable on a bike.
Intermediate - Been riding for a few years and comfortable with the twisties and highways.
Advanced - Long-time rider. Love to take long trips and carve the mountains.
Off-Road: New to dirt - Good On-Road rider, but have never been on dirt. In fact, gravel driveways make you nervous so you don't visit those friends.
Intermediate - Have ridden on gravel roads a few times and feel ok on a forest service road, but you're still glad to see the end of the gravel and the beginning of the pavement.
Advanced - Can't stand the pavement. Only use it as a means to get from trail to trail.
On-Road: D.O.T. approved helmet. Abrasion resistant jacket and pants, (leather or textile) preferably with elbow, knee and back armor/protection. Over the Ankle boots. Full finger gloves. Eye protection.
Off-Road: D.O.T. approved helmet or motocross style helmet. Knee protection, elbow and back protection, e.g. Motocross jersey with chest/back protector with elbow guards. Full finger gloves. Over the ankle boots preferably with shin protection and a strong shank in the sole. (You will be standing on the pegs for the majority of the day.)
You should arrive at the BMW Performance Center between 8:00-8:15am for registration. Class starts at 9:00am.
There are changing facilities on site. It is recommended that you have on as much gear as you can and still comfortably sit through a brief classroom session.
No, breakfast is not included. However, the cafeteria here at the Performance Center is top rate and serves a great breakfast Monday through Friday, starting at 7:30am. We do have a free coffee bar.
No, lunch is provided.
Bottled water is provided all day long free of charge. If you have a camel back and would like to wear it, that is ok also.
The riding programs should end around 4:30pm.
We ride! Provided that visibility is good and there is no lightning, we continue with the exercises. Bring rain gear if you have it!
October through March the temps vary. Highs can be in the low 70s to lows in the teens. April through September can be quite hot with highs in the mid summer around 95 plus humidity and lows in the upper 70s. We offer programs year round.
